"We spent our last five nights at MercedesB&B. The location was really handy to many attractions in Amsterdam. Isobel was very helpful, and with just a mention she had already ordered our ride to the airport five days later, at no cost to us. Breakfast was included at a lovely restaurant/coffee shop about one block away. Both she and her husband were a wealth of information. I hope we have this same luck getting accommodation when travelling to other destinations."

"We enjoyed our stay at Steve’s place. It was nice and quiet for us and Steve gave many recommendations on places to eat and what to see. I would stay again if we are ever in Amsterdam again. We came to see the tulips and they didn’t disappoint. We rented bikes in the Lisse area and saw them on our own and didn’t do the gardens. The train and bus are easy to navigate with the 9292 app. "

There are not a lot of recent reviews for this location and some things seem to have been updated. 1) This is an apartment and not a hotel. It has a kitchen and washer/dryer available for use (both of which were very helpful). There is a 2nd bedroom that is locked off and used by the owner's adult son during the day. However, we only saw him once and this was not an issue for us as our bedroom and private bathroom had a lock for...

"This lovely room was in a perfect location close to many points of interest, including the Anne Frank House. Plenty of terrific cafes, pubs, bakeries, and restaurants nearby as well. Their roof top level was a great place to enjoy a drink and snack while looking at and listening to the Westerkerk Church. Book it if it’s available!"

"The four of us had a fantastic stay! Our host was easy to contact and was very nice, helpful and informative. As with most European private accommodations, there are stairs. One set up to the unit and one more to the second floor where the bedrooms and full bathroom are located. Even though the stairs where narrow, they were easy to navigate and the hand rails were extremely sturdy. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.
