"We came an hour and a half earlier than I had communicated to the owners. They immediately came to meet us to open up for us. Very friendly. The property is in walking distance from the airport (just a few minutes), which was great as we had to be at the airport at 4 a.m. They wanted us to pay cash, which wasn't a problem for us, but is something I wish I had known beforehand."

"Casa Pacifico was perfect for the amount of time we stayed in Pompeii. Our room was modern, clean, spacious, with a great bathroom/shower. The Towel warmer was a huge plus (we used it to dry socks and shirts we handwashed. Wouldn't leave unattended.). Owner gave great directions and was communicative. Breakfast voucher allowed us to have delicious fresh pastries and coffee every morning at the cafe downstairs. You do need to haul your luggage up a few flights of stairs, so plan accordingly....

"We rented a car to drive from Sorrento to Salerno via the Amalfi Coast. By the time we arrived we were a bit tired. We were using the map app to guide us to the location and made 3 attempts before we found it. It is located on a 3 block pedestrian-only strip filled with shops, restaurants, and access to the train station. The room was very comfortable and clean. The only unfortunate things were we were both suffering from a head cold and I lost the location of where I parked the car. ...

"Room was clean and comfortable. It was nice having the coffee, tea and snacks in the room. A bit of confusion with check in but it was cleared up quickly. Ten minute walk to the train station. We would stay again."

"This is a very interesting property with its airport theme. Well thought out and great attention to detail. The convenient location to Naples airport cannot be beat. Breakfast is packaged but good. This was a perfect place to stay before departure. But there is more. I inadvertently left my cpap machine on the terrace while taking pictures upon departure. I left for airport and panicked at gate when I didn’t have my device. Alessandro the manager immediately contacted me but I was route to Rome....

"This hidden gem is literaly 2 blocks away from everything you will ever need. The neighborhood is beating and very safe, day and night. The central station is 2 blocks away through a pedestrian street. The pier is 2 block away, and it will take you anywhere you want. The supermarket is literally one block away. The place is quiet, clean, well decorated, comfortable, private and safe. We stayed for one week and enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommended, will definitely stay here...

"Luna Nova is beautiful, modern, and spacious. Each room has its own climate control and it worked very well. The owners are extremely kind and hospitable and always available to help. The rooms are the cleanest rooms you will ever find and the beds are very comfortable. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. "

"Stayed at residence Zelzar for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! The staff were great at answering our questions quickly, and helped us with a couple of issues we had (on our end, not at their fault). The views were fantastic, and we enjoyed going to bar royal for breakfast. "

"The property is excellent value for money and great if you want an authentic experience. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. We did eat the evening meal which I found really tasty. My son is a picky eater - but he ate the pasta and the meat course. They did check with us if there was anything we didn’t eat the morning of our meal which I thought was really kind of them. Put last day we snacked throughout the day so wasn’t too hungry so we bought a sandwich and some noodles locally....

"The property is very modern and funtional bathroom, electrical instalation. Pedestrian access is unconfortable for senior persons, thru steep street. Breakfast offered (included) is not at all, in the room are boxes of Kelloks cereals, no milk, no hot oatmeal neither eggs. We went out for breakfast. We strongly suggest to include in the presentation documentation include the bagage option to safe guard boxes in the back. How to get a taxi was an imposible task, it is a mandatory information...

"The common areas and room are clean and beautiful. Luciana was a tremendous hostess. The ongoing work on the exterior of the building means there is scaffolding outside your window which blocks much of the view. Also, the inside of the building, before you get to the DG part, is kind of dark/weird, including the really old lift. But was totally safe, and the doorman was great. "

"Good location for a visit to Pompeii. A call to the owner on our arrival was answered straight away and he arrived 5 minutes later to check us in. Room was clean and spacious. Great balcony with a view of Vesuvius. Although some info on the listing indicates breakfast may be available this was not mentioned on check in and we don't know where this would be due to the lay out of the rooms. "It was convenient and safe to have off street parking. However, we needed to pick up the key from another location. Traffic is very busy and roads are very narrow, so we walked to get the key (about 15min). We were advised at that point that the complimentary breakfast was at this location, and not at our accomodation. Also, when we walked back to our room, we were missing a bed. "I would definitely stay at Hotel Montestella again. It is centrally located in Salerno in that if you walk in one direction, you reach the "Old town" with the restaurants and shops, Cathedral and beach part in 10-15 minutes and if you walk in the other direction, you reach the train station in 8 minutes. If you go "down" you reach the "strip walkway" in 2 minutes. The staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early at 1230 and let us check out late at 1130. There is also a nice lobby with couches that we hung out at because our train didn't leave till 1600 and the staff told us it was no problem to hang out as long as we needed to. The breakfast was really good--coffee machines made cappuchinos and lattes, and there were scrambled eggs, sausages, an assortment of pastries, bread, fruit, and cereal. I also appreciated that the yogurt was refridgerated--we stayed at several hotels in Europe and yogurt was sometimes left out at room temperatures. The only thing to note about this hotel and it's not their fault--there is construction on the road in front of it. The earliest we heard anything was 0830 and the latest was 1730, so it did not bother us at all, but thought I would mention in case people are sensitive to noise during those times. I would definitely stay here again and recommend Hotel Montestella to anyone staying in Salerno."
