"Comfortable hotel room (would have appreciated more storage) but the stand out feature of staying here is the staff. The receptionists are all very friendly and the pub that is part of the hotel was great. The service was exceptional from all of the friendly staff and the food for lunch or dinner was extremely tasty and reasonable prices for the area. The location is great for eating, drinking, shopping and using public transport"

"Grand Hotel Excelsior is beautiful, elegant hotel not far (5 min walk) from Valletta's City Gate entrance by the Triton Fountain. The location by the water of the bay offers amazing views by day or night. The extra attention by all of the staff was very appreciated as it wasn't overpowering but discreet and gracious. "A beautiful hotel in the central area of Mellieha. Every member of staff was kind, helpful and always willing to do their best. Beautiful rooms some overlooking towards the sea. Lovely wellness facilities which have recently been renovated. The hotel has an Italian themed restaurant that serves great tasting food and opposite the main block of the hotel is the 120 bar an English style pub also serving food.
