"This hotel is situated nicely on a quiet hill. The hotel is newly renovated and extremely clean. I have stayed here twice and the staff is accommodating. Independence is a small town with a few restaurants which are mostly closed on Sunday. There is a nice grocery store and a dollar store walking distance from the hotel. I stay here when I visit my children that are currently attending Oak Hill Academy. It is about a 15-20 minute drive up to the School from the hotel. "

"Spent several nights at home for our anniversary. House was nestled in woods, away from it all and remote, which was just what we needed. Well maintained, clean, and quiet. Notwithstanding the damage to roads from hurricane Helene, we still managed to get some supplies delivered to those in need, and to unwind from a stressful few weeks.
