"We spent a very comfortable night in a converted railway carriage which was quirky and a lot of fun. The carriage had pretty much everything you could require including a claw foot bath and a fabulous view of the distant snow covered mountains. Breakfast was provided and was served in the main building. A couple of things do need attention though, firstly the Wi-Fi signal which was too weak to function efficiently and secondly there was a broken window pane above the bed. "

"The room was very nice with lots of room for luggage and it had all the necessary amenities as well as the little extras like cookies and chocolate. The hosts were great, giving us lots of useful information and the breakfast they provided was wonderful. The heated bathroom floors were a real luxury."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Shakespeare House. Nathan and Liz are incredible hosts and the other staff very friendly and helpful. They provide excellent breakfasts which set you up well for the day and provides an opportunity to chat with the hosts and other guests. We were all comparing outings from the previous day and learning of new activities to do. We extended our stay an extra night to see more of this beautiful area! We look forward to staying here again. "

"The house is big and spacious and clean. Enjoyed the well equipped kitchen with pot, pans, utensils. Bonus- there were tea, coffee, salt, pepper, olive oil and soya sauce. The host gave some extra snacks. The beds were comfortable. Availability to use washing machine and dry clothes outside was good. The kitchens sink taps were the old 1960’s where hot and cold were separated. That was difficulty to manage. "

"Two blocks from a rocky beach (good for a swim, with water shoes) and stunning views. Quiet neighborhood close to trail along the lake. House has everything you need in the kitchen, a nice deck, and was super clean when we arrived. Note that if you want to use the hot tub, there is an extra charge (to cover cleaning, which seems reasonable), and owners will unlock it. Plenty of room for two couples (and there is a bunk room too!). "
