"The house was roomy, clean & has so much historical charm. Hardwood floors & honeycomb tile just made me so happy! The house was stocked with plenty of utensils & tableware for cooking & baking. The communication with the owners was top notch! They were super flexible with our timeframe & answered every question we had. It was a great experience!!"

The location is great near downtown and we enjoyed our stay there. We met the owner as he was passing through the property and he was informative and helpful. "We came to join in on the town’s Christmas festivities but the weather interfered with our plans, however your house made for a nice retreat from the weather. We found it very cozy and comfortable."

It was great to prepare homemade meals—something he hasn't enjoyed since starting college, making it feel much more personal than a hotel stay. We’ll definitely be back! "Quick trip to the lake for a weekend getaway with family! We loved our time at the lake and the house was perfect. The covered porches and screened-in porch were amazing for just relaxing and visiting. We'll definitely be back!"

"When we first arrived at 4pm, one hour after check-in, the room was not cleaned. I had to call the host and Vrbo to get them to send out a cleaner. The cleaning lady was so sweet and she did a great job, even though we didn't get into the room until 6pm. The host admitted that they overlooked there were 2 separate bookings for the one weekend, which would need to be cleaned in between. "I grew up in East Texas in a little town 20 mins from this house and as soon as I pulled into the property I got that “home” feeling that I remembered when living in the country. Walked into the house and it was perfect! Had everything you need for a stay of a few days or a few weeks. Great modern/country blend feel. Our daughter is at SFA and we will book here from now on. Far enough out to enjoy the country quietness and sky but also just a short drive to Nacogdoches. Thank you Julie!!"

"This property was great, clean and has everything you need and more! Communication was great and responses were quick. We were moving our son in to an apartment in town so we didn’t get to spend as much time enjoying the house and lake as we would have liked but the availability of kayaks and life vests are a nice bonus. We did bring our own fishing gear and enjoyed fishing off the dock. Would definitely book this property again!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Big Pink. We had a two night stay for our daughter to perform at the SFA game. It was so cute and clean. The area was quiet. We slept well. The beds were comfortable and the shower was huge. Only nit picky thing is we needed more cookware. Maybe another skillet and a few pots and pans. We would stay here again. "
