"We loved this location, a few minutes' walk to the wonderful Makarora river braidplain. The house is unique: rustic and a little run down. Comfortable enough if you aren't expecting luxury. Some things could use a little updating (i.e. floors and bath fittings) but all this is secondary to the stunning landscape. We enjoyed our 10 days exploring the area--be sure to check out The Craypot fish and chippie at the end of the road over Haast Pass and the Wilkin Jet Boat tours."

"The house exceeded expectations! Views over the lake from the lounge area upstairs bedroom were stunning. The kitchen was a great place well equipped. Enjoyed coffee from new coffee machine. Would stay again!!"
