"I was unaware of the $100 deposit nd was unable to get the room..the only way to avoid the deposit is paying the full price upfront in cash and the lady at the desk was very rude about everything and constantly kept asking if I had a dog as if that was the only thing she was concerned about. "Cheap motel , no breakfast. Room smelled a bit but bedding was surprisingly nice. So we're all the cats outside. Have gotten a little particular in my years of travel so wouldn't recommend this place unless you just need a place to sleep while driving the Blue Ridge parkway"

"As usual Holly Hill Cabin did not disappoint! Spotless, well-stocked (complete with a birthday cake from owner Kim and Randy), beautiful grounds and landscaping, adorable donkeys, goats, ducks and very entertaining Guinea hens. Enjoyed hiking at Stone Mountain State Park and Pilot Mountain and shopping and strolling around Mt. Airy.
