On the down side, no breakfast. A chewy bar is not my ideal way to start the day and I would have much preferred a feather filled pillow"

"Liked: The nice room and en-suite; nice snacks included. Didn't like: There was a problem with something in the room directly overhead that was causing an extremely loud, motor-type noise that woke me up very late at night and lasted for a long time, after which getting back to sleep was impossible. It was reported, but no-one seemed to know what to do about it. The towel rail in the bathroom was dangerously hot and you had to be careful not to get burnt. The menu in the restaurant was...

"Stayed overnight after a gig with my band. Very comfortable room, great food and great service. Definitely recommended!"

"The staff were excellent: very friendly, responsive and efficient. The location was perfect with lovely local walks and there were excellent food choices available and different places to sit to eat. The room was big and had lots of character. Unfortunately room 7 was very hot in the warm weather which made it very difficult to sleep. The bathroom was tired, with some very poor workmanship around the bath and shower. These were the only negatives of an otherwise excellent stay!"
