"I loved being right outside Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. It was the most convenient place for my needs, the breakfast options are as terrific as the staff. Every staff member I came across was friendly and welcoming. It was important to me to have a dog friendly spot, and they are. There's even a lovely cat on the premises, his name is Peppermint, and if you're an animal person, I hope you get to meet him. "

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate...

"Bed is not balanced but it is cozy annd warm even in winter with the extra heaters, and that is all part of the experience."

"Stayed one night on the way home from a trail race in NM. Was AMAZED by the ingenuity of this Upscaled Grain Bin! We arrived late, after dark and although the directions were great it was a little daunting with no standard street lights leading the way! Once inside you are hit with a beautiful wood smell, because it is completely lined with stunning beetle kill wood. So cozy and comfortable and pet friendly. Host was very responsive and friendly! Great STAY, HIGHLY recommended. We will be back...

"I absolutely love this property. Great Sans Dunes National Park is a quick 10 minute drive up the road, which was the reason for our visit. What an easy drive!It was wonderful communication with Gail, she was so helpful and kind. She also has FRESH flowers in the home which you don't see anymore. The home was decorated beautifully and it was perfect for us. Everything was comfortable. I'd absolutely stay here again on my next visit!"

"The property is at a great location very close to the dunes, about 15 min drive. You can literally see it from your backyard. The property is exactly as listed and its very quiet if you're looking for the peace. The open space around is the best. My pup thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a little hiccuo during the first night but the host addressed it very quicklu.wr love the place and will return when we go back to the dunes."
