"We had a great stay and the communication with Pedro was fantastic. He provided lots of tips for the area which made everything easier. The house is big and the kitchen is well equipped… it’s basically your home from home. .our daughter enjoyed the little pool and the room with the three beds was perfect for us :) We would stay again if we come back to the area in future. "MEIO country house is extremely well-maintained and outfitted. We were a group of 12 adults, with 6 new ones swapping places with the original guests after 1 week. Clean linens were supplied and a housekeeper cleaned the rooms beautifully. The location has easy access to the train at Santarem and only 1 hour drive to Lisbon. But seeing other areas requires travel on slow country roads which can add time. The owner, Isabel, offered and provided a lovely tour of Santarem, her home town. She and...

"Very comfortable, spotlessly clean and well kitted out holiday home. Generous provision of basic groceries. Plain but lovely garden. Old fashioned but rather beautiful furnishings. Peaceful village, well positioned for trips to coast or further inland. We'd recommend with complete confidence."

"Poor bathroom conditions. Hot water and cool water from two isolated sources on the sink. Toilet cover had a crack that pinched guest’s skin. Using the shower in the narrow tub floods the bathroom. Breakfast was not included although it was supposed to be, according to reservation. Blanket was heavy and dusty."
