"I'm sorry to say but be careful booking here. They did not honor our Expedia reservation and turned us away. We Just flew in and drove from San Jose then had to find another place. Everyone was booked and drove 30 min out of town to find another place. Then Expedia tried to contact them to obtain the refund and they are not communicating with Expedia and now Expedia is not refunding me. "

"The property was well putfitted, though there were no extra blankets and rhe blankets were thin, so for sharing rooms with family thay had different needs, that was a problem. Overall the property was clean, safe, and the owners were accompdating and helpful. We will stay again. "

"Pros: Kind, responsive property managers, close to beach and local food nearby. Cons: Roaches. I was beyond mortified to have had my leftovers in a to-go box in the refrigerator and upon opening to Re-heat a cockroach about 1 1/2 - 2 inches long scurried out!!! Everything we had, that we’d opened we threw out. Upon leaving the room, at about 3:45a we were packing and cleaning our dishes and saw again baby roaches rushing to hide into the walls which confirmed there are roaches in the unit....

"The property was accurate to the description and very clean. The pool area is very nice and we spent most of our time outside in the pool having fun. The home is located in a authentic area and sets behind the jungle so the views was actually more then I thought there was. I will be back for sure"

"Mariposa Villa was very clean, all systems and appliances were working well, and the property manager attended to our needs very responsively. Our stay was restful and restaurants nearby were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool, hot tub and wildlife -- capuchin monkeys, iguana, birds, etc. Thank you to the host and staff for a relaxing respite!"

"Had my bachelorette party with 14 of us and it was nothing short of amazing. Jen, the host and owner is a true professional, far exceeded all my expectations. Everything was planned from the moment we got out of customs; tours were all close by, location is perfect. Loved seeing the monkeys on the property and even spotted a sloth. "Although in a beautiful location, this home needs some work. Two of the guests felt so uncomfortable that they left for a hotel! Overall, most of us was ok, but some details such as pics of all the rooms on the listing and status of electronics should have been detailed accurately!"
