BE AWARE! This was a family trip, and we've been to many resorts, but without a doubt, this was the worst one so far.
The location is beautiful—the beach, the hotel amenities—but the hotel staff, especially the managers, were a complete disappointment. I could write an entire essay about what we went through during our five-day stay.
To start, we paid for the "privilege" side of the resort, but DON’T BE FOOLED! You have to pay extra just to sit by the water, and even more if you want someone to serve you a drink. Speaking of drinks, if you want one, you’re better off getting it yourself—the average wait time for service was about two hours, and when our drinks finally arrived, they were watered down. In any scenario, falling for the "privilege" upgrade is the biggest scam ever! The extra charges just keep piling up.
For New Year’s, they tried to charge us $350 per couple for a tiny high-top table. Instead, we opted for a dinner reservation, but they "offered" us to buy a $60 bottle of wine per couple (even if you don’t drink) at a supposedly included restaurant. To top it off, when we checked out, they charged us for six bottles instead of two. (To cancel the extra bottles from the bill was another nightmare)
The staff was shockingly rude—they really looked like they didn’t want to be there. I tried to stay positive with a smile, then tried extra tipping, but nothing worked. They were just unhappy, and I don’t think anyone wants that kind of energy while they’re on vacati
