"We arrived at the lodging only to find that the beds had not been made. Actually, all of the bed linen was heaped on top of one of one of the beds. There was a thick coating of dust over every surface. I contacted the rental provider (Vacasa) and they were very responsive to finding alternative lodging for our group. The problem was that the alternative lodging lacked a third bathroom, no dish washer, no washer/dryer and no garage. The rental price of this "alternative" is about 320 less...

"We enjoyed staying at the Shady Grove for our spring break getaway! It was well stocked with everything that we needed and was so peaceful and quiet! "The townhome was perfect for our two families and all the kids! Great location in town, just minutes from restaurants and the grocery store. Excellent and easy communication with the property manager. Quiet neighborhood. Spacious and comfortable. The only thing we would change is the mattresses on queen and king size beds and better shower heads. Otherwise, we had a wonderful visit and will definitely rent this property again. I would recommend it to friends and family as well! "

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate...
