"Great location to the strip. Nice big rooms complete with large kitchen and bathroom - perfect for 3 or 4 people. Pool area was really good including the bar. Bit of a walk to the beach but not too bad at all. Can be a bit noisy as allows pets but other than that brilliant stay! "

"Fantastic stay at Monte Dourado resort. Apartments were large, clean and comfortable and in a good location, albeit at the top of quite a steep hill! Would stay here again. "

"Narrowed down a shortlist to pick this property. Liked it a lot due to being quiet as only 19 rooms in total to share nice swimming pools as only a handful of people were using them. Need a hire car though to get around to many places nearby but journeys are around 10-25 mins to vast array of beaches and decent outlet shopping place. Overall very clean and air conditioning works well but was only in the main room so could get stuffy in other room. Shower works great, had two balconies to catch...

"You get what you pay for. Basic but clean accommodation and restaurant alongside here is amazing food plus service. Good location for beach plus marina about 20 minute walk. Albufeira taxi about 25 euros. Reception helpful we arrived very late and a gentleman was there ready for us. Pool small sunloungers about 20 which was fine for us. Weather great spar around the corner . "

"Stayed for one night, the apartment was comfortable. The one downside to checking in was the timing was quite late at 5pm. however as it’s was only one night, and the complex is huge, I tried to walk to reception twice in the space of 90 minutes upon checking into my room and became completely lost. As a solo traveller, being right at the top of the hill in the back end of nowhere, I didn’t feel the safest throughout the night. "Lovely quiet hotel, great food and choice. Even in busy times the restaurant is well managed. Good to have a choice of swimming pools also and we always got a sunbed in the patio pool. "

Hotel Califórnia Urban Beach – Adults only

"We fully enjoyed our stay here. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal, the staff all very friendly and accommodating. Location was so convenient, you can come right out onto the street and there’s a convenience store steps from the entrance! The gym is quite minimal, so we went to the Marina du Albufeira and got a week’s pass at the Luxury Fitness there. The pillows are a bit on the small/soft side, but I’m sure they would have given us extras had we asked (we were always just so tired when we got back to the room!) We also found the room quite soundproof, despite being so close to the busy street and pool. "

"The property was beautiful, including the beach. The room was large, clean, and up to date. The breakfast was so fresh and with many options to choose from. There was a good selection of restaurants on the resort. The staff and service was excellent. They even called the room for a wellness check when my husband was sick. I would recommend this resort for anyone looking for a relaxing vacation, beautiful beach, and close proximity to nearby restaurants and popular beach attractions. "

Fantastic relaxing hotel

"The hotel is AMAZING so are the staff!! The room had a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The swallows were so cute flying around the greenery. The pool was great! Every 2 chairs had an umbrella. We went down to the beach but you have to reserve chairs and pay for them which we didn’t not so we sat on the sand for a little while. They have 4 restaurants which we only went to 2 we had buffet breakfast that had a lot to choose from and. Are at the Italian restaurant 2x food is excellent and Rita is the sweetest! All in all it’s ***** Much needed beach relax after site seeing Lisbon and Porto"
