"This was a great location for us to base our stay. The house was charming and comfortable for our family of 6. Some features took some getting used to for us - the coffee machine, washing machine and the garbage system but the host left detailed instructions and was readily available for questions. Staying over the holidays we appreciated the Christmas decor in the house. There was a fantastic restaurant across the lot and the views from the property were outstanding. The drive up to the property is steep and narrow (not a problem for us at all but just something to note). This house/location is great for an authentic Italian countryside experience. It’s less than an hour from Florence and Pisa. Several restaurants in town and a large grocery store less than 15 minutes, my only suggestion is to add a place to relax (couch) area - there are several beautiful patios with furniture that would have severed this purpose but it was too cold for us to be out on the patios for an extended time. "

To be able to access the grotta is a real highlight, it's an incredible place, much bigger than expected and the facilities are again outstanding. Spa had a lot of choice, the outdoor swimming pools were unexpected given we visited in December and it was never too busy, often it was just us.
