"Given that it was my first time to Palermo, I didn't know what to expect regarding our accommodations at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa. Upon entering the lobby, we knew it was going to be indeed "grand" and live up to its name. The staff was both helpful and friendly and our deluxe double rooms were much larger than one normally encounters in Europe. The hotel is perfectly situated in an area where everything is convenient - from restaurants and bars to shopping and major local attractions. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay, but it was promptly repaired as soon as we alerted the front desk. More importantly though, this is a hotel where the staff is willing to go above and beyond. When we encountered an issue with our rental car while parking to check in, the hotel General Manager Signore Tintori personally intervened on our behalf, especially valuable since none of us spoke Italian. He quickly diffused the situation and alleviated a problem that could have escalated. He even took the time to follow up the next day to ensure everything was in good order. We couldn't have managed without his assistance. Without hesitation, we would return to this property when visiting Palermo again."

"You feel like Royalty staying in this stunning hotel! Grand Hotel Wager was a dream stay. The staff are wonderful, the lobby and bar are stunning and my room was fabulous! Truly the best bed and pillows of all my stays in Italy. There is a very large selection of breakfast items on the Buffett including a very good selection of gluten free items. The bar is lovely. I sat and enjoyed a pot of tea and read for a long while and the bar tender assured me to stay and enjoy myself. The lobby is huge so decorated so incredibly beautiful as is all the hotel. This is charm you can only find in European countries and it is stunning. It is within easy walking distance of the Opera house abc so many other sites. The hop on hop off bus line main meeting spot is at the end of the street. There is tons of shopping and lovely restaurants near by. It’s about a 25 minute walk from the train station but I enjoyed the flat walk and all the sites along the way. I highly recommend a stay with them at Grand Hotel Wagner if you are in Palermo!"
