"A beautiful old castle that has been completely refurbished/modernized on the inside, sitting on a beautiful property with nearby forests, vineyards, and olive groves. After the hustle and bustle of Rome and Florence, the serenity here was perfection. We stayed in the 'deluxe double room' which was absolutely fantastic. We arranged a vespa rental and rode through the countryside to the nearby Castellina in Chianti and cute hilltop town and took a wonderful cooking class at Taverna...

"Location, accommodation, and host were 5 star. When we arrived, Antonella had pasta, sauce and fresh homebaked bread for us. The view from the property was amazing, the beds were incredibly comfortable and everything was very clean. One thing that is probably a "lost in translation" is a reference to a hot tub/jacuzzi. We did not see one, but it did have a tub in one of the bathrooms (which we used). Overall, a dream escape in Tuscany!"

The proprietor visited our table one morning, at the beautiful breakfast they offered, and gave us some fantastic history of the property and the upgrades she has made to the castle and the grounds. "We were in awe! So beautiful, comfortable and peaceful. Best sleep ever on vacation. Stefano is an amazing host, very responsive and helpful. "Great location, walkable from the train station. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. First night we got a room by the elevator, and it was very loud. Asked the desk to be moved and they happily moved my wife and I to a very quiet room. I would recommend this hotel. Great location, very clean, and excellent staff. "

"Hotel was great for a quick stop through our EU trip. We had three rooms and the staff was great! We enjoyed food and drinks for the bar and everything was delicious! They even have a 24hr sauna which is nice after traveling all day! Beautiful area, wish we had more time here! The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we had the whole trip and included in stay! "

"We have travelled extensively through Europe for the past 2 years and the Villa del Sole has to be one of the best and amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff was sooooooo friendly and helpful. Even showed us the easiest and best way to get to the Piazza del Campo without going up and down the hills, lol. Breakfast was great, good selection. The best, mind blowing view of Siena you will find. We want to thank everyone for the friendly and generous service that was offered. We are definitely coming back! "
