"We liked the quiet atmosphere. The history of the Inn is so interesting. Emma was a wonderful hostess. Only one thing, we like a bar of soap for bathing and none was provided. Seems like such a little thing, but we have noticed several establishments have stopped providing. "

"Very pet friendly, which is important to us, given that we have two dogs. Alan Webb, the host, has a cockatoo, which the dogs loved and which we loved also. Good proximity to the Skyline Drive, Charlottesville, and the White Oak Canyon trail in the Shenandoah National Park. Good breakfasts and good amenities in the room, with Keurig coffee maker, flat screen tv with streaming, and good wi-fi."

"What a fabulous 4 day retreat my family of 17 ( ages 1 - 94), had at this lake front estate with panoramic views. The property is beautifully decorated with entertainment for all ages--board games and a pool table. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for all!
