There's a great sense of calm at the Saiki Bekkan, from the vast, carpeted main lobby with its dramatic glass wall overlooking the traditional garden to the spacious and multi-roomed accommodation. "Unfortunately the property had electrical problems and we could not stay there. The management had already found us accommodation 500m away in a nice hotel, the price was the same and they catered for our dietary requirements at very short notice. Well done to the Komeyaclub staff for arranging all this."

"It is an older Buddhist temple and feels wonderful to be in a place with such character and history. The meals (all are vegetarian in accordance with Buddhist tradition) are a delicious delight. This is from one who is not a vegetarian! The service is personal and sincerely caring. I would recommend visiting Daisen and staying there. "

"A reasonably priced and clean hotel, food was great!"

"Comfortable stay. Food was good. So was the onsen. It would be nice if the hotel provides drinking water at the onsen. Staff was hospitable. Hotel provides free pick up. However, delivery to the station was only available after 9 am. As we leave at 8.30 am, we have to take a taxis."

"Standard onsen hotel with no surprise. The indoor onsen is a bit disappointing. The rooftop outdoor onsen is more attractive but is available at limited time of the day. As such, I prefer to visit the public spa which is free and 2 min walk from the hotel. Meals are standard and the biggest compliments should go to the friendly staff. Room is spacious and tidy."

"Booked this online at short notice. Japanese style suite (2 rooms + bathroom) was very comfortable and there is a true onsen downstairs. Overall the best part of my stay in Tottori. Arrived too late for the dinner but ryokan is close to a street of restaurants with a huge range of food, plus a supermarket."
