"We were extremely impressed with the quality of the house (comfy beds, nice linens, nice furniture and flatware) to enjoy a nice stay with friends and explore Bar Harbor and Acadia. The house was very well stocked and the deck had a great view and was a nice spot to hang out. The shared spaces were also wonderful to enjoy hanging with friends. One of the best rental experiences we’ve ever had! Would come back in a heartbeat."

"We had a wonderful stay in Bar Harbor! This rental home was very beautiful and had everything you could want or need. " We absolutely loved our time at Escape lake house in Maine! The setting was gorgeous and cannot be beat. The view is never the same and we loved watching the changing light on the water. The house is as described in the listing and the primary bedroom and bathroom are great. Note that one of the “bathrooms” is actually in a side entry room with the washer/dryer and extra stove, and is not super private. Also, 2 of the showers are very small stand-up showers. Between hiking in the Schoodic Peninsula, visiting Bar Harbor, and soaking up the view from Cadillac Mountain, we loved swinging on the porch swing, having coffee on the front porch, and relaxing around the dinner table. "The Maine Bay house was wonderful. It was clean and had all the space we needed for our group of 4. There was everything thing that you need for preparing meals in the kitchen. "My family of 4 and dog enjoyed staying here. The house was a bit dated but that added to the charm. The scenery is gorgeous from most of the rooms (if you are exploring the neighborhood please stay off the land across the street -it's private property!) The location was ~45 minutes from Acadia National Park and 10-15 minutes from Ellsworth. Check-in was easy and Jamie was a great host. "

"We did a quick getaway for my husband's birthday. I couldn't have picked a better place to relax and unwind. If you love the beauty of Maine's Rocky Coast, you just need to step off the back deck. Make sure to bring supplies because Downeast Maine is NOT the big city. Love, love, love it! "

"My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh...
