"This was a pleasant surprise to me, I have never spent a night in Soweto prior to this trip so I must say this place will now become my Soweto homebase. Great warm welcome and fabulous environment, lovely room and amenities. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. "

"I was informed on my date of arrival, that they could not accommodate me, (they were out of town for a wedding), so I would have to make other arrangements! Totally unacceptable!"

"The house will do with some major repairs. Everything is fixed with a tape. Electric wires aren't covered, they are all over the floor. The staff is rude. They make you feel guilty for you to ask for anything. The owner is wonderful, very helpful always, ready to help. "

"The property was quaint with character. Each room different. It was rather haphazard in some areas. The breakfast was good. Family room very spacious with a fridge. Hostess very helpful and friendly. Maid asked for a tip! Be aware of Load Shedding (power blackouts due to poorly maintained grid system). We had one from 5pm until 11.30pm - hence no wifi. Very close to Mandela's House, Desmond Tutu's house and Hector Peterson museum. Good location in the "Beverly Hills of Soweto". Good bars and...

"As a solo older woman I felt very safe and well looked after. Susan was exceptionally delightful and her place is beautifully kept. The breakfasts are delicious and things are clean and homey. It is situated in a very central location - next to the Mandela house and a short drive to the Apartheid Museum. One can walk to the local restaurants (x3) and the craft market. There are 2 ATMs nearby as well. It is a very special place and I plan to go back as soon as I can. "
