"Nice guesthouse, in a quite safe area of Johannesbourg. I stayed there for more than 3 weeks, being in the area for my job. Unfortunately there are not restaurants very close but the guesthouse is not far (less than 3 km) from The Glen Shopping Centre, where you can find many restaurants and fast foods. "The worst experience, booked for 3 days including breakfast. The room was dirty and bathroom was filthy. First day no breakfast and when I asked lady at reception in the morning what time is breakfast she said they don't do breakfast. 2nd day they brought to the room soggy sandwiches with cheese and ham of which I did not eat. 3rd and last day no breakfast. "Lovely old manor where you are treated like royalty. It’s very comfortable, clean and safe with lots of amenities. The hostesses are lovely and very accommodating. It’s the only place to stay if you are going to or thru Heidelberg. "

"Mold around the bathtub, cockroaches, spiders and moths in room, main TV did not work, missing light bulbs/various different light bulbs, asked them to change and also install where missing. Pool was dirty, debris in pool and a chair, mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, the safe did not work, offered us a free breakfast due to the cockroach issue. Staff was the only good thing. Definitely needs refurbishing."
