The location: The neighborhood was very loud (this was a Friday night), and it is not particularly easy to reach the port. Taxis had to go pretty far out of the way, and if traffic was bad, really far out of the way, to get there. One taxi ride to the port cost me 15 MDH, but the return was just 5. "The most magical place — El Minzah is an institution! The architecture and atmosphere retains the old Hollywood charm of El Minzah’s 1930s and 40s heyday. Service is impeccable and staff are extremely kind. We were lucky to be here for New Year’s Eve and there was a party for guests (included with the rooms) complete with four-course feast, champagne, Moroccan drumline, and flamenco until the early hours. Our new favorite place in Morocco!"
