This didn't happen. The door was looked and no one was there. The sign on the door said to use the intercom, but there isn't any intercom, so we called the number on the door of the hotel and no one answered, so I looked at our confirmation email from Expedia and found a different number, which was answered by...

"We really enjoyed our stay here. It's minutes walk from the downtown center of Beaune and was a very spacious unit. As mentioned in several reviews, the stairs up are reminiscent of an old castle staircase, what you would expect in a home of this age in Beaune, so if you can't stand to carry your bag up stairs, it wouldn't be for you. We are middle-age and healthy so we had no issue. I would definitely stay at this unit again."

"Audrey was very helpful, kind and easy to reach. The apartment was perfect for our stay for a few days. Well furnished and spotless, with well-equipped kitchen. On street, but quiet, quiet cute little cobbled street. All day parking about 100 yds away, 10€ a day. Very convenient. Restaurants all busy, so book well in advance !
