"I wish that I could give 10 stars to Sextantio! The property is stunning, the town is wonderful, the views are breathtaking, and the staff is incredible. If you are visiting Italy, Matera is a must. "Really nice, welcoming place. Very well-located for the centre of Matera (a short walk), free parking - probably *the* best hotel to stay in when visiting Matera. Loses 'full marks' since the air-conditioning (clima) appeared ineffective, and the shower was very difficult to use without getting water all over the rest of the bathroom."

"Agriturismo Nonna Rosa was a very nice stop on our trip. The room was updated, clean and quiet. Breakfast every day was very plentiful, most days we left with a few snacks for later in the day—so nice to have. It’s close to the ancient town of Matera, making it easy to have a nice morning/afternoon site seeing. Antonio is very attentive and helpful—thank you! I would definitely stay here again. "

"The hotel is in a great location to explore Matera, and some of the rooms are in actual caves (it's a great experience for a night or two) without windows. These rooms are very nice and have a good spacious shower. Some rooms are not in the check-in building and so a walk down some stone steps may be required. "
