"The David Kempinski hotel is by far the best of the new Tel Aviv hotels. It's a beautiful, modern building, featuring the unique architectural styling. Inside the spacious lobby, you'll find stone, marble, art, decorations. The air inside smells fantastic. Rooms are new, well constructed, outstanding shower systems, sink, bath, lots of room. If you choose a Sea View room, you'll be rewarded with breathtaking views and gorgeous sunsets. We were staying in an Executive Suite and it was huge even for two people. We wanted to get a Sea View room, one grade down, at first, but then it became unavailable and we chose the Executive, which was a smart move. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Breakfast buffets are abundant. You can also order eggs and a al carte, all included in the hotel room rate. Lunch has sushi the likes of which you can only find in Japan or top-level restaurants. Evening dining is worth a Michelin star. The food is fantastic tasting. Also, lots of amazing restaurants in the local area. And the beach, it's just gorgeous. Next time - only David Kempinsky in Tel Aviv."

"The Waldorf Jerusalem is always an amazing place to stay. I had a flight change due to the missile attack on Ben Gurion and the hotel was gracious enough to grant an early check in. All the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable, from the bellboy who brought up our bags immediately to the housekeeping who quickly replaced the iron in our room, to the barista who made an incredible latte at breakfast to the front desk who accomodated every request I made... The beds are very comfortable and I always love oversized bath sheets which many other hotels skip... The ahava bath products are a nice touch too. "

Every staff member I encountered was friendly, professional, helpful, and committed to customer service. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they always followed up on requests to make sure things had been sorted or resolved. It's not the cheapest hotel around this area, but with the Herbert Samuel, you get way more than you pay for. I look forward to my next stay there. "
