"Great location - so easy to see most of Whanganui without getting in a car. Hotel is in a historic building so older but amenities were fine. The restaurant connected to the property is very popular so reservations were required on weekends. Food was pub menu but quite tasty. We would stay here again. Thank you."

"This is a lovely old hotel and the decor reflects that - full of charm and character. However, the age of the hotel means that the ensuites are a later addition and so are very small and basic. The room was clean and comfortable but the hall could have done with some vacuuming and the sliding door to the ensuite had come off its runners."

"Motel is located on the edge of Ohakune, with short distance to main street and tourist locations. Motel staff is very friendly and helpful. She offered me quite facility for video meeting in the evening."

"On arrivel the staff were very helpful i needed to use a cpap machine and was upgraded to a suite which was exellent.I had a car but you could walk through the park by the main entrance across the river bridge to a very nice place for drinks and dinner. Food vas very good. All shops are close. Although the main road was close with the patio doors shut i heard no road noise at all. The hotel alos has a function room. I'm from the uk and have been traveling around the north Island for six weeks,staying in different places every couple days. Would highly recomend. I am a 67 year old male solo travaler."
