"The first thing you notice is that the outside of the hotel needs repainting. The second is that the old chipped bath in the ensuite needs ripping out and a modern shower is needed as you can't stand up and shower in the bath. Having said that, the rest of our stay was lovely. The hotel is attached to five acres of woods, they allow dogs to stay in the rooms, and our two Labradors loved their walks there. "When we saw the room we cancelled our booking. We were warned not to open the window as it had already fallen out and landed on passers by. The common area were dreary and run down as was the room."

"Hotel in great location. Walkable to most attractions and restaurants. Had to use public parking but was close by. Hotel is well presented with friendly and helpful staff. Had co-joined rooms with only complaint being couldn’t turn off hallway light between. Skipped breakfast with numerous breakfast spots close by hotel. Would definitely recommend as the appearance and facilities hard to beat "
