"The hotel is perfectly located just metres from the Shambles. Our first floor room was quite despite being near the lobby. However, the room and the bathroom were small, with no hooks for towels, and a large chair made the space feel cramped. Scaffolding outside ruined the view, though there was no noise. On the bright side, breakfast was excellent and the staff were fantastic - friendly and attentive. A great stay overall, but some small improvements would make it even better."

The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. "The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled.
