"The Sonesta Hotel location is stellar - literally a walk across the road away from a narrow strip of beach. Bed pillows were too soft and matterss needed to be replaced. Bathroom toilet required you to manually lift the handle at every flush or the tank would never fill up and the water would continually run. The hotel front desk clerk kindly adjusted my bill during check-out, when i mentioned the toilet situation, which was very kind. If only the check-in front desk clerks had been so helpful -...

"I’ve stayed here a couple of times the past couple of years for work. Usually great. I booked a King room and arrived at 3:30, checkin normal starts at 4. They gave me a card key to go work by the pool letting me know they would give me a call when the room was ready. I checked back around 4:30 after no call and was given a double room on the 3rd floor(327). The shower drain was broke, as well as the light by entrance of the room. The sauna in the gym is also out of order."

"For the super low price, it was exactly as expected. The hotel is run down on the exterior and the rooms are beat up with AC that doesn’t remove much humidity. That being said, the room was spotlessly clean, the bedding comfortable, shower and toilet worked fine with decent linens. I would give top stars but saying the facility is in great condition would be dishonest. And yes some of the hotel guests can seem a little intimidating if you live your life in a Truman Show bubble. "
