"I have stayed here regularly over the years, but havent been since befoe Covid hit. The hotel has been updated since my last visit and the rooms particularly have benefited from the makeover. The lounge and bar and new Orangery are welcoming spaces. The restaurant has also had a similar makeover, the staff were attentive and friendly. Our mains coukd have done with being hotter when they arrived, but that was our only criticism."

"Great value! Our only complaint was that our room was too warm and we couldn’t work out how to lower the temperature. However, given it was freezing outside it was much better to be too warm!! The restaurant was also good value and the food was excellent."

"Clean cheap and cheerful. Easy to find, accessible to le tourquet and 40 minutes from calais. Shame no kettle in the room. And pillows were not great. But really Clean"

"We were looking for a hotel in the centre of town with a car park. This fitted the bill exactly. Staff were excellent. Car park is tight! but Volvo XC60 fitted - but I had to be careful"

"What a lovely spot. So peaceful with on the sounds of ducks cockerels and donkey’s for a bit of background atmosphere. Located in the French countryside with close local amenities. And most of the place we visited were only 30 mins drive away. Abbevile close with great train links to Paris where we spent a great day and Amiens just over an hour drive Was about 1 hour 30 mins drive to visit the world war 1 memorial sites, well worth the drive. "Lovely place with all amenities required and more. Only one suggestion rather difficult to find without a house number visible at the front of the property."

"We had a lovely stay at the Bakery whilst competing in an off-road rally. The gite has all the facilities and equipment you need to make for an enjoyable time away, especially when the log burner is lit! We would highly recommend this gite for families or groups of friends as there’s both communal and private space. We’ll be back!"

Merck Saint Lievin

"Although we have been to Northern France on numerous occasions this was a first, and it did not disappoint. Large property accommodating our party of 3 adults and 3 children (9-14). Enough bedrooms for all and a well equipped kitchen and a large loungec dine with all the cutlery and glasses you could wish for. In the evening the large dining table doubled up for card and other games. The pool was a clear winner with everyone enjoying the heated pool and the goodweather. we did not feel we had to go out much and took the opportunity to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings and the peaceful location. An added bonus was the homemade games that Francis had made along with the table-tennis, darts and table football, involving the whole family having several tournaments during our stay. As part of our trips to France we do enjoy the local bread and cheeses as well as wine. these became a staple of our stay but supplemented with the barbeque several times. Our hosts were delightful, although our lack of French was evident, but using Google Translate we managed to converse. If you are looking in this area for a gite, then this one is a must."
