"I stayed there for 2 nights in a Mix Room. 1 night some girl brought another stranger men to our shared room, they were making a lot of noise. They shared their single small Bunk bed and they were on top of the bunk bed. Every tiny movement they make, you can hear so there were A Lot of noise. It was a horrible and UNsafe, UNpleasant and traumatizing experience. The hostel staff told the stranger to leave in the morning at 9am after they did their thingz. "Very basic accommodations. The trade off is the cheap price and excellent location for shopping, cafes, restaurants, and Selina next door. It was nice that they included towels (many hostels charge a rental fee), but they were threadbare. The kitchen has no stove, only a microwave. "We had a private room with shared bathroom in the Rivoli Cinema Hostel for 3 nights. It is in walking distance to most of the sights, tours and supermarkets. The kitchen was well equiped, the shared bathrooms were clean and our room was comfortable. It is a bit noisy with the traffic, but it is to be expected on this location.The staff was fun and very helpful. The cinema theme is everywhere, in all the small details! Great home base in Porto!"

"This property has been frailly recently updated and the beds, kitchenette and bathroom in our unit were good. What was a big disappointment was the attitude of the staff--starting with an incompetent and surly check-in by the hotel's bartender -- we had paid for a third person and bed but he tried to charge us again for that extra. "Lovely hotel! Large, spacious, beautiful rooms. Our balcony was right on the open square. It was amazing! The bar was awesome and the American bar tender was very nice and helpful. All the staff were wonderful! The very central location was awesome and made the days easy. Such a short walk to the river, churches, the market, everything! Great hotel!"

Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel & World Heritage Site

"We Loved our stay at the Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel! The location right along the Douro River was incredible; nothing beat standing on our balcony and staring at the Dom Luis Bridge and all of the vineyards in Gaia across the river. The food and staff were wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to book our next trip back!"
