Would suggest leaving bag of salt on porch incase of ice on walkway. The house is conveniently located for easy access to main road but yet secluded for privacy. Would recommend. "

"My family rented this home to all be together to celebrate my mom's birthday! There was plenty of space, the house is huge. We spent most of our time on the middle level in the kitchen, game room, and theater. The theater seats were very comfortable and it was the perfect place for some downtime. The only negative is the train close by, and with it being an old home, voices travel and the floors creaked, so it could be pretty loud, but that was to be expected. The location was great and close...

"We had the best time. We went for the holiday parade on Thanksgiving weekend. The house was as shown and very comfortable and homey. Management was fantastic to work with and very responsive. The home was very clean and ready for us to arrive. The location can't be beat as its just up the stairs from Main Street. We were back and forth many times. Loved it."

"The property was exactly as listed. We enjoyed the fireplace to a great degree. We have a gas one at home but the 'real deal' is always worth the extra effort. The peace & quiet are worth the added drive time to get to downtown Galena. It's almost too quiet...almost. :-) Jolene was super nice and prompt with any questions - whether via VRBO messenger or direct phone call. We will definitely consider another stay in the future! If we would recommend one thing it would be signage in the...
