"I highly recommend Greg as a host and Villa Almendro as a comfortable place to stay in Santa Teresa. If you want to be close to the beach, shops and restaurants, without being smack in the center of town, you won't find a better location. I especially enjoyed laying in the hammock while being protected from the rain, which we expected during the green season. Very peaceful! Check in was super easy. "

"We really recommend this house located in a small town called Cabuya. We felt very safe and at home in Cabuya, and all the locals were nice and welcoming. It is close to Montezuma where you can find many good restaurants and shops, as well as beautiful beaches for surfing and swimming. You can easily get there by bus or taxi. "This is an excellent place to stay for people on a budget because the rooms are beautiful and I have a super high wood beam ceiling and with air-conditioning and everything was clean and neat and we paid less than $55 a night! Plus it was right near everything and the staff was very helpful and they have common areas we can cook your own meals and it’s very very affordable really great price for what you get! If you are a light sleeper and this might not be the room for you because the traffic from the street makes a lot of noise but that doesn’t bother me because once I’m out I’m out! "

"We had a great stay at Akwa! Alexia and Eduardo were welcoming, kind and responsive. The villa was luxurious, with minimalist design, a full sliding door that transformed the space into shared indoor/outdoor space. The private plunge pool is a game changer! The driveway into the development is very steep, but this is typical of many accommodations in Santa Teresa. You can walk to the beach and back, just prepare yourself for a short but challenging climb back up! "
