"If you are looking at visiting the Lake Como area with your kids, or other families, I strongly recommend Mandello and Villa Ornella. The layout of the house is great, the size perfect to accommodate 2 or even 3 families and Furio was a great host. It was just me and my wife and our 3 young (and restless) boys and we had a great time. The pool and the living room with the amazing veranda were perfect family entertainment areas. "Beautiful old villa in a wonderful neighborhood outside of Menaggio. It was just what we were looking for. The manager was very responsive to all communications. Because the villa is so old, there were some tech issues that the manager was quick to resolve (tripped circuits when cooking, internet). Bedrooms had cold AC. "There were no surprises when we arrived and checked out the house. It was very thoughtful that there were some food items for our arrival. Everything worked fine and the owner was responsible for a couple of maintenance issues. The yard lights did not come on the last two nights and we missed them. Getting around the area by walking is a little sketchy because the roadway is narrow. We found the ferry stop 10 minutes from the house very convenient."

"Loved our time at this property. We had 14 people and it worked out great. Location so close to the lake was fabulous and we could easily get to the ferry and train stations. Host David was fabulous and always available. Going to Bellagio and Varenna and Mennagio was great since there are no lines at Colico and it is quiet, peaceful and away from tourists at this property. "It was great to look at the lake. Just be prepared for a lot of stairs and narrow streets with a lot of turns. Some of the issues were that there was still some food left in the fridge, the garbage wasn't clean, the hot water finishes pretty quickly!"

"This appartment has a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. It has a beautiful terrace and it is very nice that there is a fence. It’s is big enough for a small family but a bit more cutterly and glasses would be nice otherwise you are washing up right after every meal. The hosts are very friendly!!"
