"Beautiful grounds, worth a stroll. Challenging driveway. My check engine light came on so I am losing a day at the mechanic. It is very steep, your car will probably be fine, mine is very old. Twin room has one window which is at the entrance of another room so choose between privacy and natural light. Had issues with mosquitos, light switch near only one bed which doesn't have a nightstand. Overall beautiful property with a challenging room (twin), the other rooms seem better."

"couldn't figure out the shower from instructions until the next morning unfortunately and all the things I wanted from it when booking were disconnected (it looked very high pressure and I'd done a day of sports) bed was good and overall a decent stay. just do expect a basic shower. "

"We stayed in the Kauri chalet and really liked it. The view is great. The connecting room, Rata’s view is even better, but that room is much smaller. If you are a bigger group, booking these two rooms together will be perfect. We woke up to the birdsongs and had a peaceful breakfast on the balcony. The stairs bring the charm to the place and we did not mind the extra steps. Owner/staff are very friendly. PAKnSAVE is only 6 minutes drive away."
