"This was a fantastic, updated condo and location for our stay. Having 2, full bathrooms is a big plus and the condo is nice and modern. Communication from the property management company was great and, when we found a broken coffee maker, they had it replaced within an hour. The beach is great and it's nice to have a beach restaurant and bar around the corner to walk to."

"Had an amazing time here. The condo was nice and clean. The location is great if you’re comfortable with walking down and up steep inclines. The unit is close to Sudi’s restaurant just a quick 2 min walk. About a 5 min walk down to Sapphire beach. The host was very responsive and kind."

"We loved the balcolny the most! Coffee in the morning and a drink at night. So fun to watch the boats and the water. The room was perfect for us. We appriciated the use of beach chairs and pool noodles. Michael was super kind and helpful. We would definately come back! "

"Amazing views! Pictures online do not do it justice. Spacious. Everything you need to go to beach available in villa. Coolers, chairs, umbrella ,beach towels and even a set of hiking poles for trails. Only cons for me. Bed is quite firm and no air conditioning. Lotsbreezes"

"Lovely well appointed property in a quiet location (you will need a car) as it's at least mile west of the location on the VRBO app.Diane was a wonderful host.Also a shame the neighbours trees are grown to obscure the sea view."

"We stayed here as a family with two teenagers. The unit was great and we especially loved the balcony with iguana viewing in the mornings. The queen bed was really comfy and our teens slept on the pullout sofa and had no complaints. The only thing we didn’t love is that the bathroom has a partially open ceiling, making for less sound privacy than one would like. But everything else in the unit was fantastic. "

"Clean, large deck that overlooked the bay with the auto ferry, beds were comfortable, bathroom looked recently update, and AC in bedrooms worked great. Walkable to Cruz Bay but you are dealing with a steep hill so you will need to be able to handle a steep incline for about 30 yards, walk in from the bay near auto ferry. It had beach chairs and coolers for use as well. Would recommend for a clean but fairly simple place with a water view."

"We enjoyed our time at Lion's Gate and the property had all the necessities. The hill is a bit of a challenge the first time up, but after that we did fine both driving and walking it. Location to Red Hook and the ferries is excellent, but with that you may also get noise from the late-night revelers below. We did have to close the windows due to that and then one night of rain. We ate on the terrace watching the harbor activity and enjoying the breeze. A new mattress/box spring may be in order...

"Overall the property is beautiful. It’s right on top of a hill so you can look down and see the beautiful views of the island. The room was extremely large with a beautiful balcony. The staff were very friendly and helpful. But the hotel shuts down after a certain time. The bar closes at 9( and the food is very good). The pool closes at 12( which is really good). The lobby and housekeeping closes at 11 I believe. So no food, towels, beverages… nothing after 11 and if you don’t rent a car there...

Beautiful resort! Would stay again.

"Amazing resort but we may have gotten to room with the least views. A22. I was most excited about the wrap around porch and we only had about a 6 ft wide porch. Also the pull out sofa mattress was terrible and it too 2 days to get a pillow topper which we laid on top of the mattress on the floor. There were no coffee filters in the room so they gave us some but they didn’t fit but there was a Keurig in the lobby which was just above our room so that was nice. Enjoyed the Captains Quarters for coffee and big connect four. We Enjoyed Sugar beach and the Sun & Sea for drinks and watching fish. We cooked in the room or went to Red Hook which is a short drive. "

Boutique hotel on the beach

"The Buoy House is a great newer hotel part of the Westin complex. Boutique feel and part of Autograph collection of hotels. Private beach near lobby a bit rocky, but closer to Westin it is wonderful. Don't miss catching the sunset from the Westin terrace. Food is great, but overpriced ($21 for a glass of House Pino Noir). We will be back."

"We lucked into one of the most magical stays we have ever had world wide.. it was a last minute trip due to us needing to catch up with a cruise ship.. that turned into us planning to go back to spend at least a week.. from the property, to the room, to the staff.. all 5 stars.. its the first time i've ever been thankful that a flight was delayed. It was magical."
