"Friendly service and staff… however, NOT worth the price of $40 per night, when I could have spent $47 per night at the Marriott sister hotel near the airport. Room felt like a garage, more like a storage room. The window had no view and was disrupted by foliage. Breakfast was decent, but not worth the price. Extremely disappointing!"

"Beautiful old hotel in the center of town, near many restaurants and cafés with live music especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Much quieter on Monday night, but still many dining options. Great place to stay for taking day trips into the Amazon. The hotel has a large roof top lounge area and other spaces for sitting, reading, or talking. Our room was large. Staff are very nice and quickly gave us another when the air conditioner broke. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection...
