"Very friendly owners, arrived at night there was heavy rain but got picked up from the airport promptly. Because of the weather event I couldn’t go out for dinner so they offered to prepare something to eat for me. The room is basic but clean and for the price excellent value. "

"I arrived at the hotel at around 5 am and the owner kindly let me check in at that time (I had paid for the previous night) so didn't have to hang out at the airport forever after an extremely long trip to Sri Lanka which I had read was an issue at other hotels. Breakfast was fantastic. Rooms were very basic but clean. There was tea and coffee in the room but no heating kettle, so you couldn't actually make coffee even though instant coffee was sitting there was there which was a bummer. ...

"We could not have dreamt of a better place to start our Sri Lanka trip. The place is beautiful, nested among trees at the end of a road and along the river. Our room was brand new, comfortable and colorful. The bathroom was open to the exterior giving you the impression of showering outdoor, while the Air conditioning inside keeps you cool. "Lovely hosts giving you a truely personal experience. Access to next hotel's pool is a nice touch. The room layout was odd but they will be undergoing renovation soon so hopefully reworking the internal layout. Otherwise clean and tidy and nice view of the garden to the beach. Be aware of beach salesmen. Would recommend this hotel."

"We walked in an apartment with dust and dirt on the floor, mould behind toilet door, mould on kitchen glass tray. They said this apartment was closed for some time. Housekeeping staff should be trained to check on details. Would not recommend for families who are particular about cleanliness. The management needs to take feedback seriously without giving excuses for lapses."

"Beautiful hotel, great service, very friendly staff! The pool was amazing and with a beautiful view. Hotel is fairly new so everything is still in great condition, hopefully it stays that way for years to come! Highly recommend this hotel! "

Great Stay at Mandarina Colombo

"We had a very comfortable stay at Mandarina Colombo! The team made the check-in process seamless and were very helpful throughout our visit, ensuring we had everything we needed. The food was amazing at the top floor restaurant. The hotel itself is lovely, with great facilities and a pleasant atmosphere. However, as it’s located on a busy main street, be aware that the vehicle noise at night could be a bit of an inconvenience for light sleepers. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo!"
