"Beautiful hotel with amazing grounds, huge room and lots of luxurious touches. The beds were comfortable and the big round bath was something else. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and professional. The only negatives were when the corporate side of things disturbed the other guests - the braying sales teams taking over the breakfast room with their luggage wasn't ideal, nor the loud wedding planning meeting while we were relaxing in the residents’ lounge. I’m sure there is enough...

"Our second stay here was as pleasing as our first. A very unique location in a very special village by the Thames. Very comfortable, lovely food and faultless staff. Will definitely book for a third visit. Recommend without hesitation."

"Lovely helpful staff. Hotel itself is functional. Bathroom was tired, needed painting. Room itself was fine. Broken window which slammed in the night. Good parking and convenient location on the river. Breakfast was ok"

"On arrival our booking was wrong. We had requested minimal stairs for my wife and a classic twin room. They had designated a double. We were given an upgrade to a suite. Great! but it was up a flight of stairs. In the end my wife managed them with a struggle. Problem apart this is a lovely hotel."

"Home to the institute of marketing, this is a good level conference centre type accommodation. Staff are great, breakfast is good, grounds are good too. For a night or two on a business trip - it’s just right."

"Friendly and great location with easy parking. Room was clean although a little dated, but as they seem to be renovating sure this will change. A shame lots of hotel is closed for renovations and not mentioned when booking, however the great view, clean and spacious room and ease of stay means I would happily stay again."

"the hotel is a little jewel , beautifully decorated. Staff is extremely friendly. will recommend to put speaker in the room to listen to music and let you know that the restaurant in not open for dinner several days of the week"

"Very nice setting, sadly weather did not permit using pool area, but that's a british summer!"

"The hotel is closing to guests in order to take in refugees so not such a smooth operation. Not the fault of staff who were all friendly and helpful. Full marks to Kamman who kept bar open after his shift ended for late revellers. We were attending a wedding nearby so didn’t require full facilities. Breakfast ok but very busy. "

"Beautiful location but room and bathroom looked dated and in need of renovation. Our room was spacious but the space was wasted as no comfortable chairs were provided and only a very small desk. Breakfast was ok but set in a very large and half empty room. The whole experience was very bland."
