"The lift has been out of action for some time due to a major fault , we were e mailed twice before our arrival to warn us of this. Brilliant communication , as we both are able bodied it was not an issue , as we were on the 5th floor the manager insisted he took our luggage up to the room and apologised about the lift issue which we already knew . A very nice breakfast, we will stay there again."

"We are so glad that we found The Ropemaker! The service was amazing - everyone was so friendly and polite. We had our dog with us, and he was made to feel very welcome and made a fuss of, and received his own welcome gift, and a large bed and bowl set to use during his stay. We booked a 'Fancy Room' and it was so comfortable! The bed was large and we slept very well each night. The bar service was very efficient and friendly, and the food was delicious, at both breakfast and dinner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, or to visit again."
