They offered early check-in/late check-out, and also gave me fruits and sweets, suggested nice sightseeing routes, and even helped me exchange coins, which I really appreciated. "Staff spoke little English but were helpful when assistance was needed. Family room was spacious. However the sofa bed was uncomfortable and cannot be sleep on. Sore spine and terrible pain. Definitely not recommended for sleeping. "

"I have never had a bad experience with Sofitel and not this time either. Large and luxurious rooms (also Superior rooms) with all amenities. Should I mention anything that could be improved it would be breakfast. Good and a lot of choice, but they had trouble keeping up at peak time. Good but have experienced better in other Dkfitel hotels. Still I do not hesitate to recommend, and would go back if I have the chance. What stands out are all the details in decoration and furnishings- beautiful hotel"

During my stay, I encountered an issue with my ferry booking through an app, and I wasn't able to receive a confirmation email. I was quite stressed, but Shea immediately stepped in to help. Not only did she assist with sorting out my booking, but she also went above and beyond by accompanying me to the harbour. There, she spoke with the receptionist when they were unwilling to issue a physical ticket, as I couldn’t access my boarding pass. Shea’s dedication and kindness were truly remarkable, and she ensured I could travel without further stress. Thanks to her efforts, my experience in Macau was made so much easier and more enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at Mandarin Oriental (Macau)—the hospitality here is top-notch, and the staff is incredibly caring. If I ever return to Macau, I will definitely stay at this hotel again. "Gorgeous interior with nice retro touches like rotary phones, toggle switches, and elevator dial display. The bathroom however isn’t soundproofed at all, something to be aware of when traveling with friends and partners. "
