"Had a lovely time staying here only spoiled by the very awkward steps into the property which is supposed to wheelchair accessible other than that I can thoroughly recommend this beautiful “Quinta” for couples, families with children etc older relatives may struggle with acces also Internet isn’t always available but overall in a nice setting with lots of animals to keep you amused."

"Fantastic characterful property in Cunqueiros. We loved the house, an amazing conversion. The villagers we met were friendly. Nuno gave us really excellent ideas about the sights and events in the area. I’m sure we’ll be back when the weather’s better to try some of the river beaches. Highly recommended."

Da es etwas abseits liegt, sollte man sich vorher mit allem Nötigen eindecken. In Martinchel selbst gibt es ein kleines Café in dem man neben frischem Brot auch Obst und Gemüse bekommt. "A maneira como nos trataram é um escândalo. 8 pessoas alugam uma casa no meio Portugal, fazem uma viagem de carro durante 2horas, com os carros cheios de comida, bebida, gelo e roupas para passar 3 noites e somos completamente deixados ao abandono pela VRBO.
