We used the location as a base to visit Pisa, Cinque Terre and Florence and the hosts made some good recommendations of places to visit on the coast e.g Lerici and Levanto. "This place is an absolute delight. It’s a winery built in the middle of an old medieval castle next to a mountain stream and surrounded by vineyards. The wines are delicious. The pool is perfect for cooling off. The rooms are lovely- ours overlooked the neighbouring village which was a 15 minute walk along a riverside path and over an ancient pedestrian only bridge. "This hotel is adorable. It’s comfortable modern inside of a traditional Tuscan building and it’s so so charming. The owners are charming too and they are on top of every last amenity. I were oils easily stay here again! I loved our stay "

"A very nice friendly family run hotel. The position is not great, too far from the sea and much further than the website indicates it is 10 km to Lerici. The hotel is comfortable and convenient in many ways, one issue for me was the position of the pool which is on the edge of the dining room and it was difficult to swim with big lunch parties looking straight at you. Not a great breakfast, no eggs and lots of pastry."
