"A wee couple of days in York. Nice and clean hotel.Staff friendly. Very close to the shambles, cathedral, shops pubs etc. about £ 8;00 taxi ride from main train station. Lovely staff. Could do with some place to hang coats . Separately esp in this wet weather. But otherwise …hunky dory."

"Brilliant layout and friendly staff. The chef struggled with making a proper dinner on the first night but the staff more or less made up for it by not charging for dessert or a service charge. Wonderful views."

"Good base for exploring York. The hotel wwl very clean. Our room was nice and modern with a good shower. Breakfast was self service. My little girl particularly liked the waffel making machine "

"Great Hotel, within easy walking distance of York City Centre – 10-12 mins max.Room was very clean and spacious with a good-sized TV (55Inch) and a good selection of teas and coffees provided . Bar was clean and well stocked , good selection of fines and beers and reasonable prices. Plenty of onsite parking @ £17 per night – not cheap, but not extortianate for a major tourist spot like York . Will go again. "

"Lovely hotel, always spotlessly clean & very friendly. This is the third time I have been back. The spa is very relaxing & breakfast is fantastic, lots of choice. Great bus service to York."

"Positives: Friendly check-in and staff. Clean good-size room. Good price for York. Hotel seems in good condition. Neutral: Mistake made at check-in which would have charged me twice for the room had I not checked. It was sorted out quickly when pointed out. Negative: Breakfast had a good selection but coffee is from an automatic machine and not good. Both had Eggs Benedict which wasn't great. "

"Lovely hotel, really easy check in. I’m a wheelchair user the lift is a little tight for a larger wheelchair and another person but doable, just. They didn’t have a wheelchair accessible room for 3. But the room we stayed in was large and I was able to get in with my chair. The bathroom wasn’t big enough to get my chair in . The hotel was clean, smells lovely, room was clean apart from mould on the nets."

"Place is Excellent. The service desk, Ian, went above and beyond - gave us the low down of places to visit and eat - top notch. Our stay here truly set the tone for our vacation travel to England. Highly recommend this place - just fair warning, don’t trust Apple or Google, enter the parking from the front haha"
