"2 adults and 3 young kids so finding a hotel that accommodates all in one room is difficult but I found this little gem. We had a room with one double bed and 3 single beds. Beds really comfortable, room very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini fridge with bottles of water provided. Plenty of clean towels and small bottles of showergel etc. Only a few minutes walk from the city walls. Great place to stay for the price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. "The staff is friendly and helpful. The property and the room is neat and tidy. The communal kitchen is well maintained. However, at the entrance of the carpark, there is bad smell like wee-wee. There might be leakage of the sewage pipes."

"From the moment we got there too the moment we left, Alan and Julie were the perfect hosts. The rooms were bigger than expected with our own ensuite and extremely clean. The choice at breakfast was amazing and if you wanted something not on the table just ask and it will be produced. Everything was in easy walking distance with plenty of places to stop for coffee and cake, Including Betty's which is a must. "Great location, easy to get to York centre and the road was quiet slept well both. Room 1 was great, en-suite, welcome goodies (fruit, pastries) mini fridge with water, yogurt and juice. Slippers, bathrobes, facilities to make tea/coffee and warm food. Will definitely stay again. "

"Overall a good stay. Needs a bit of TLC to the paintwork. Bathroom is quite small but adequate, & bedroom space was small ie bed against the wall. Stayed in deluxe studio apartment it was nice to sit on chairs instead of bed to watch tv. Nice kitchen area if you want to cook something simple. Bed was comfortable & extra pillows if wanted in wardrobe. Great communication & easy mobile entry via email "

"Lovely location, clean pod. Can’t fault it."

"We have had a great October break. The cottage is beautiful, clean and in a great location. Ideal location to walk the coast into Brid and back (land train optional). Short distance to Filey. Scarborough - where our children enjoyed Peasholm Park feeding the squirrels. Hosts also provided Sewerby Hall entrance tickets. A great week had by all. 😊 xx"
