"An average guest house. Friendly staff and comfortable bed. I felt more could be done to reduce waste. For example using glasses instead of plastic cups in room; using shampoo and shower gel dispensers; using small dishes of marmalade and butter, weetabix in a large container rather than individual plastic wraps. Breakfast was ok though cooking of black pudding was poor and the bread could have been nicer. A bit noisy from room next door, you could hear the neighbours talking. "

The breakfast was excellent - sets you up for the day. I would recommend Storrs Guest house & it was only a 10 minute walk into Bowness which offered some amazing friendly pubs & the food was good, enjoyed the Sunday roast in the Flying Pig very good food."

"Can't praise the staff enough, helpful, friendly, accomodating, and the room was lovely. We both had the full English breakfast which was superbly cooked and high quality, and check in was easy and convenient. The only downside was that the mattress was just too firm for both myself and my wife which lead to a quite uncomfortable nights sleep, the staff kindly offered to switch rooms however they all have the same mattress on the beds so this wouldn't have improved the situation, and we decided...

Walking them is so easy there is a large green area just outside or a walkway around the estate, just what you need early morning and bedtime. The staff are great they are professional courteous and friendly. Emma the manageress is a joy and works really hard to make sure you enjoy your stay. "Lovely stay in the dog friendly deluxe room. Very comfortable, clean and well decorated room. The room has it's own parking space and is only about 10 minutes walk down to the centre of Bowness. Hosts are very friendly but leave you to enjoy the room in peace with the proviso that they are only a message away should you need anything. They are happy to provide any information on the local area required. They even provide dog bed, bowls and towel though we had brought our own. We will definitely...
