"The location is beautiful and the grounds are kept impeccable. You see how much staff they dedicate to keeping the grounds well maintained. A lot of hidden gems to be discovered simply wandering around the sprawling property of Maloka Barlovento/Casa Tayrona Los Naranjos from various pools to a tiki bar that has reggae music and salsa playing. It just an amazing property. Beds are comfortable, rooms are big and well decorated with a classy rustic appearance. Ten minutes from the Tayrona Park El Zaino entrance. Staff is all incredibly kind. Dinner offerings are great. My only critique is breakfast. The coffee was below average. You come to a country like Colombia you expect great coffee to be the standard. Breakfast have now shifted to quantity over quality. We stayed here in April 2021 and the breakfasts were smaller, but the quality was better. Bread was better, fruit was more flavorful. All being said, this is an absolutely gem of a place to stay. Absolutely gorgeous. You won’t want to leave!"

"The villa itself is lovely with mountain views and easily walkable to the Tayrona Park entrance; however, transportation itself is a challenge, even with their recommended, outside drivers. One driver, Felix was ok in bringing us to the villa but did not reply to my texts fro departure transportation. When I notified that someone else was picking us up and that he was no longer needed, he showed up and not the other driver. He canceled the other driver. We still had to take the drive since we didn't want to miss our flight and the other driver had not shown up. Walkable for the gates but difficult to get anywhere else in Tayrona."

"I stayed in two different rooms two nights in a row. This review is for the first night in the bungalow rooms. Overall an excellent and relaxing stay with top notch service. The good: The staff is excellent. My dinner was delicious. I got a massage that was so relaxing and just what I needed. The pool is inviting. The room had a balcony at the back overlooking a stream that was super relaxing. It was so quiet and I slept like a baby. The bad: The room had a slight moldy smell but to be expected given the humidity. They offer a welcome drink that took forever to get, but these are minor and overall no complaints. Based on my experience, I booked another night but could only get the family room. That was a very different experience. I would not recommend the family rooms. I will review that one separately. "
