"Shoddy and dated furniture and unclean but otherwise okay, like most of the Google reviews say. Parking was possible but not easy. "

"The communication with the accommodation was bad, largely because it was in French only and I don't speak French. On the day of Arrival we had a difficult Day because our GPS failed and we couldn't locate the somewhat remote location. With the help of a dog walker and the local tourist information in Evian we eventually reached the Complex late. During this time we range the accommodation several times, but no one ever answered. "We had a pleasant two night stay at Auberge des Grands Bois. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. It could have benefited from air conditioning but there was a Dyson Air Fan available and fortunately the weather was not too warm. The staff were friendly and breakfast was delivered to the room. "Great hotel and great location. Just a short walk from the train station and a short walk to all the main attractions in Lausanne. Great beds and bedding as well as very modern bathroom facilities. Highly recommend."

"This is a fabulous property and well-deserving of its 4 stars. Sadly, I came when the fog had descended on the area so I couldn't see the stunning views, but I have been to the area numerous times and know they are breathtaking. I loved that the Epesses train stop was 3 minutes from the hotel (be aware there are a lot of steps to get there). I had to talk with the front desk several times for personal reasons and they were nothing short of magnificent and helpful. The place was so clean and had lots of lovely space to breathe. I highly recommend this hotel. "
